I am back in Denver. Not the happiest thing ever. I love seeing all my family and friends, but I am pretty over the city.
Especially after being spit on last night. That would never happen in Glasgow...... I think. It never did anyway.
Does anyone still read this?
Well, if anyone does, once we get internet in la casa subterannea I will update this guy some more, just in case any one is interested.

Paris! Finally!
Paris! WOO!
Alright Miss Linda and I went to Paris on the 2nd of April. The entire day was spent in transit, subway to train to airplane to bus to the metro in Paris, then we walked to the hostel.
Linda in the hostel! It was pretty nice, but we were in there with 8 other people, so there was very little sleep to be had.

Breakfast was free at the hostel so we ate as many baguettes as we could so we wouldn't be hungry during the day.
Here is us post-breakfast, and ready for action.

We decided to do all the touristy stuff the first day. We started at the Louvre.

I took a bunch of pictures inside, but they didn't turn out well without a flash. Unlike other tourists, I did not want to put the flash on and damage the art for the sake of point and shoot pictures, so here is one of the only vaguely decent ones.

My highlights were Gericault and Rembrandt.
The outside from the inside.

Mini Arc in the gardens outside of the Louvre.

People lounging in the gardens.

We then went to get drinks and food after 5 hours at the Louvre.
This sandwich was incredible. It was proscuitto I think, and brie maybe, and balsamic tomatoes. Delicious.

Linda with a pain au chocolat. Totally stoked.

Stumbled on the Champs Elysees! I don't know why I couldn't keep the camera straight.

It was kind of a bummer because I was thinking like, chic haute boutiques. It was more like an upscale mall, but a mall nonetheless. I'm sure had we looked closer we would have found a lot of cool stuff.
The Arc du Triomphe! and Linda not knowing I am taking pictures.

Me looking like I own the place.

Attempt to get the arc and the tower in the same shot.

Attempt to do a panorama. Didn't work well, but I am putting it up anyway.

SUPER TOURIST!

The Eiffel Tower!

Pastries, marking the end of the night. The chocolatey one was mine. It was three thin layers of cake with mousse all through and around and piled on top. Incredible.

Next day! MONT MARTRE! Getting on the Metro.

Me taking a picture of Linda taking a picture of an accordionist. And as Erin pointed out, that dog is standing up!

Black kitty.

Fun grafitti

walking up to the Sacra Coere

Sacra Coere. This is a giant basillica. Its absolutely gorgeous.

We then decided to go to a graveyard. This is the mapreading extravaganza that ensued.

Found the graveyard! They look like little cities in France.

We were parched after graveyard excursions. Here is some grapefruit orangina!! It was Orangina Indien, and it took me awhile to realize Indien meant Native American..... hmm.

We then went to a big flea market, which meant really expensive sprawl of antiques. In one crammed shop I found these! I almost died. They are so gorgeous, and in pretty decent shape too.

Then back to Sacra Coere, where we ate baguette and cheese. Then we wanted un cafe.
SUPER TOURIST REDUX

We found a cafe! The Two Windmills! Somebody will recognize this. We got creme brulee too.

Then we found the Moulin Rouge.

That was the end of that night. I had a delicious raspberry tart. I don't know why I didn't take a picture.
Next day! Canal St. Martin! We went pretty early in the morning, it was really beautiful.

We then walked over to a park where you can overlook Paris. It was kind of hazy, but still really cool.

Chillin with the flowers.

Then we happened upon this! It was a Notre Dame, not the one you are thinking, a different one, but it was very pretty.

Then to Pere Lachaise, the big famous graveyard.
Edith Piaf.

Gertrude Stein

This amazingly awesome guy. I like his style a lot.

We then ventured back to the canal and had a delicious dinner of crepes and coffee. It was so so good. No pics for some reason.
This is the Notre Dame you are thinking of.

Linda and I witnessed many makeout/cell phone texting happenings. We didn't want to feel left out. Its necessary to do both at the same time.

The sun started to set and the bells were ringing.

We skipped on to the other island for some sorbet. Mine was lychee of course, and Linda's was pink grapefruit.

Then a long walk down the Seine, to the Eiffel Tower.

Here is where it did its sparkly thing.

Attempted panorama.

If it seems like that was long day, it was 13 hours outside of our hostel. There are some days I'm not even awake that long.
Our last day we wandered around the Latin Quarter and some gardens.

Not much to ramble about. We were very relaxed, and it was wonderful.

Eyes closed, but I like this picture anyway.

On our last night we decided to get wine and sit on the street, watching people walk about. Best idea.

This was our hostel. I took this as we were leaving.

Going home, walking like zombies.

My last delicious pastry. Almond croissants are my favorite.

So there is Paris. There were tons and tons of other pictures, so maybe I will put up others as I go back through them. I really loved Paris, which was awesome because I didn't know what to expect. I would recommend it highly. Now that I am back in Glasgow, I will try to catch this baby up. Yes!
